Are you caught by the Modern Slavery Act?

In October 2015 Parliament agreed the Regulations that are required to bring s.54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 into force. Under this somewhat controversial legislation certain employers are required to prepare and publish an annual anti-slavery and human trafficking statement. This starts from 31 March 2016.

Thankfully, there is some good news for smaller employers here. You will completely escape this new regulatory burden if your annual turnover is under £36 million. There are no plans to lower this threshold at any point in the future.
