Licensing

At Bowling & Co we have one of the leading licensing teams in London. Our activities are local, national and international with a client base ranging from individual licensees to small companies and wholesalers.

Our expertise covers all licensing matters relating to liquor, public entertainment and betting and gaming. In addition, we can advise in criminal cases which are ancillary to licensing matters such as breaches under the Trade Descriptions Act, Health and Safety Act and other regulatory crime.

We have a competitive edge over other licensing teams as we are able to work comfortably in conjunction with other departments of Bowling & Co who may have already been instructed on other aspects of a transaction.

The licensing group comprises of five solicitors who total almost 35 years in experience dealing with licensing matters. In addition we can provide an administrative service. This service would allow clients to concentrate on their businesses without their continuous worries of renewals, transfers, protection orders and court session dates. We ensure that every licence is accurately maintained, providing invaluable support for managers and licensees.

Our lawyers are well versed with the Licensing Act 2003. The new law aims to provide more flexible working hours for leisure operators whilst promoting more transparency and accountability in the licensing system.
